Another tribute from Jurphaas! This guy seems bent on overcompensating for a lousy magazine from Japan. But who am I to refuse, as they say in the Land, "Accepting that which is offered honors the giver." So who am I to argue?

This one is really a crowning piece on my collection, my first Santa Fe Stoneworks blade, SS dragonfly:

This is my first SE dragonfly, it will remind me of my SE Calypso, but much more pretty.

The work is completely seamless with the SS scales, I can heartily recommend http://www.santafestoneworks.com for any Spyder-customization needs!

I can tell the material consists of some type of stabilized wood, but I'm not sure how the fancy bits are done.

Having grown up in the midwest, I have a special place in my heart for "dogtails" like this, (as well as dragonflies!)

Thanks again Jur, your generosity is beyond compare!

That knife is absolutely beautiful! You have a very nice piece there Rorschach. By the way, how much did you pay for that? And is that a original design made just for you or do they make more?

Thanks,

Mark

Klick, this is the part that's going to kill ya.
I got this knife for free from forum friend Jurphaas in the Netherlands. I gave him some advice on macro photography once, and I travel to Japan on occasion and buy him a copy or two of "KNIFE" magazine when I can find it, and he feels the need to overcompensate the return gift! I can tell you that Santa Fe does great work, I have seen other examples of their unique patterns. Jur picked it up at SHOT show 03, I don't know how much he payed. Most of their work is $120+ including the knife. All I know is that I am grateful to have such a generous friend.
