And I’m lovin’ it :D

Firstly thanks to the Company Store, it came unbelievably quick. I wasn’t expecting to look out for it until at least the end of the week.
Fabulous customer service.

I had a call on my mobile this morning asking me to meet the mail contractor up at the front gate for a parcel. He didn’t know about Stan not being here anymore.

The knife is everything and more than I hoped for; I can’t wait until some cooler weather to try it out on skinning. It’s a great all round size for general bush work.

I went for a walk out into the horse paddock with it as the heat wasn’t too bad today, it was a mistake though as the humidity was terrible.

I had my little shadow come along with me; she doesn’t ever seem to feel the heat. Stan and I used to be gasping on these sorts of walks, while Bonnie was always running around sniffing out Wallaby’s.

We seen an unusual large amount of them today, the undergrowth is thick and lush after a great season, plenty of food and cover.

Here are some pictures of my Skinny Ash in its new environment at Ryhope. :D

A couple of shots around the billabongs on the way out.

I’ve been checking out this big old fallen dead tree for next winters firewood, probably about two years in it overall.

Also with my little mate hamming it up.

Back in over the creek and heading towards the house paddock. Stan’s rock can been seen in the background, I’ve moved it there with a loader, but still need to stand it up yet.

Last, but not least.

Thanks to Busse Combat for making knives that in my opinion are unequalled anywhere else in the world. :D
Ian.

Nice Knife and nice post. I love the pic's....that part of Australia is a lot greener than I thought it would be...the bracken in the photo...it could be in the UK except for the "fronds"....

Nice blade and it seems really at home there, almost has natural cam for the environment it's in.

I'd putting an orange lanyard on that blade just in case it falls into the bush and disappears/goes native.

Beautiful pics, Ian. That combo is by far my favorite. Love the muddy!

I love that Muddy Skinny ASH-1 the more I see it.

Great selection and pics. A nice blade.

My condolences still on Stan.

Sooweet! I really like the ASH, but haven't tried the skinny. I love the landscape you show in your pics. Thanks for sharing.

I have finally gotten around to ordering a sheath from Buy Brown for my Skinny ASH-1 so I dont have to carry it by hand and lay it down in between. What it doesn't have in ass it makes up for in speed and the ability for lots of repetitive blows.

Stan's final resting place certainly looks serene and I'm sure some of his favorite wildlife will visit him there often.

I really like the muddy coating and the tan handle combo. The best color as far as I am concerned. (unless you start talking about things like snakeskin, muddy)

Thanks everyone.

The Muddy is also my favorite color. I have three Rats in that color including the "Rat Mastiff".
Ian.

Great photos, Ian. I love the spot you picked for Stan. Couldn't ask for more. If you haven't heard of it, you should pick up a book named "Marley and Me." I got a copy for last Christmas from a friend, and recently sent a copy to a friend from here on the forums. It's been made into a film recently, and Wifey made me go see it with her yesterday. Funny as hell in some places, but a bit of a tearjerker in the end. Ultimately, though, it was about what it's like to love a dog and have it really be a member of the family.

Great pics, and congrats on the knife. I hope if brings you years of healthful use.

Thanks for that, I'll take a look around for it.
Ian.
