I linked to Rich's pics because there is NO way I could take better pictures than him !!

Man this is a stout knife. A lot heavier than I thought, built like a damn tank. I think I need a Hiking buddy now!!!

Love the handle, I went on a long weekend camping trip and it performed great, no hot spots and this is the only knife I used all weekend.

Everybody that handled the knife loved the way it felt in the hand and everyone there were serious knife nuts.

There are a couple things that were not perfect on the knife but I am not going to nit-pick because Andy is a fairly new maker and he has only one way to go and that's UP!

Besides, the fact that the knife isn't a statement of utmost perfection is great because I have way too many safe queens and this knife SCREAMS feather sticks, bow drills, snare traps and adjustable height pot holders.

This knife was born to work and I love it for that.

Andy, I would love to see you make some knives with a zero convex edge. Once someone gets used to sharpening a convex edge properly, even in the field, it's a very useful edge.

Well that's it folks, thanx Andy and Rich for this great knife.

And remember .... Keep your skills as sharp as your knives.

Take care

Thank you for sharing that great report. It looks like a beautiful knife and I'm glad to hear it is getting used.

Sincerely,
Mark

Glad you got the knife and are using it! That one was meant to work!!

Thank you Mark for your comment.

Thanx again Rich, you're right that's a workhorse.

I woke up an hour early this morning just to play with it before going to work, I almost felt like calling in sick and spend the day in the woods building stuff. lol

Heat treat and temper must be good because after what I put it through the edge is still pretty good. Better edge holding than INFI I must say.

I am going to slowly but surely take the edge to a zero convex with a felt wheel and diamond paste to see how that edge geometry performs for this knife. I'll let you guys know what think of it.

Take care
