I linked to Rich's pics because there is NO way I could take better pictures than him !!
Man this is a stout knife. A lot heavier than I thought, built like a damn tank. I think I need a Hiking buddy now!!!
Love the handle, I went on a long weekend camping trip and it performed great, no hot spots and this is the only knife I used all weekend.
Everybody that handled the knife loved the way it felt in the hand and everyone there were serious knife nuts.
There are a couple things that were not perfect on the knife but I am not going to nit-pick because Andy is a fairly new maker and he has only one way to go and that's UP!
Besides, the fact that the knife isn't a statement of utmost perfection is great because I have way too many safe queens and this knife SCREAMS feather sticks, bow drills, snare traps and adjustable height pot holders.
This knife was born to work and I love it for that.
Andy, I would love to see you make some knives with a zero convex edge. Once someone gets used to sharpening a convex edge properly, even in the field, it's a very useful edge.
Well that's it folks, thanx Andy and Rich for this great knife.
And remember .... Keep your skills as sharp as your knives.
Take care
