how do you like it?? I am looking at getting something in 2 or 3 weeks, sadly the 30 rnd mag would have to go, unless i get a preban mag,,,,i have a post here but im not going to cross post. how much was it.

I've had my AR for a couple years now and I love it. Mostly I think it's because of all of accessories you can get for it so that you can customize it to your liking. I've been looking into getting an AK though. How much did yours run you and do you like it? How did you get the red dot mounted on there?

I like it alot. Good quality right out of the box.

It is my first AR, been long time coming.

Your going to enjoy it! I love mine. Hopefully gonna put a Eotech on it..if I can stop buying Striders :p well..at least for a while. Congrats again. Oh, funny story. So I go to my home town gun shop and they were telling me about this Police Officer who came in and purchased a New Ar-15 then came back 2 hrs later and tried to get his money back.lol WTF? I went through the police academy with him, he was always a little slow. Kinda suprised he's still working anywhere.lol

I got my WASR-10/63 for $450. I like it other than the front sights are canted. It came with 4 30rd mags and a Tapco trigger.

The Red Dot is mounted to an aftermarket receiver, dust cover that has picatinny rail attached. I got it from the sportman guide for like $30. Not a bad piece of kit.

I am in the market for such an AR. Could you point me to the spot you found it?

Depending on how much you're willing to spend, of course, most decent ARs average between about $700 to $2000. Stag is currently selling a flat top, low-profile gas block Model 3 that's only $800ish that I would love to get my hands on but I don't have the money to spend on a rifle at the moment. I own a Model 2 and I ended up spending about $1300 for mine a couple years ago. I love my Stag and I've put several thousand rounds through it. I would post pictures of mine but I'm new to the forum and haven't figured that out yet. I still have the front sight post on mine, but if I could get the Model 3 without it I would be golden. I recommend getting a flat top for optics. It's better to have the option to have optics than to not have the option. Or you can get one with a removable carrying handle like High Density's. I recommend flat top with flip up front/rear sights. They're relatively cheap (depending on who you get yours with).

Here's the link for a Model 3 from Stag so you can see the specs.

Put 500 rounds through the BushMaster today. No malfunctions. Took a little hike through the backwoods as well.

Thanks for the tips. I was thinking about a flat top too, I wanted to get a red dot sight for it. The canted front sights are a bummer, but can be easily fixed. I will check out the Stag model you mention.
