Straight handled Badgers are awesome!

I have one in INFI and it's my most used/carried Busse. I like it a lot. That one you have there looks very nice. Great score.

Randucci let go of a knife?

The micarta appears to have a nice shade of green mixed in....does it really or just the picture?

Congrats! :D My A2 Badger is the pride of my collection and the start of my slow spiral down the "Fatty Obsession" Thanks WetDog! :grumpy: ;) And now more than ever the A2 pieces have gone back into hiding, for a while there they were coming out in droves on the exchange.

Mine has that hint of green as well, and the cut edges are rather mossy looking! All my A2 pieces have that green tinted micarta, wonder if its from a particular lot? I bet its from whatever he got in at the time, knowing the history of the timeperiod eh? Hmmmmm, I wonder if the green is residue of spilled CBL? :p

Ya Mon! Dwayne, you're right about mucho A2 being available back when. Now, it seems people wised up to what they had/have and are very unwilling to turn loose of it. A2 is nothing to sneeze at.

YOWZA!!! My grips have a bit o green in them also. I thought they were black, but that was just from sweat and grime. There is even a pattern in there! Oh well, they'll be black again in a week or so. LOL

Yeah, the green has to be from CBL. These were before Jerry got all snobby and started drinking JWB. LOL I still believe CBL is the secret ingredient in INFI. LOL

Nice snag! You gonna use that bad boy aren't you? They don't like being stuck in a safe. Now that I had mine out and washed it, it will go back on the belt. The MS has been there for the last 2 or 3 weeks and the AD before that, so now the Badger wants back on.

It's my favorite carry piece, but the othere demand a turn also. For a really comfortable CC rig, talk to Dwayne about a BTB. He's even got one for a pattern. LOL

I love the BA's too,, I had been checking the forum and ebay for quite awhile for a A-2 SHBA and they were just not any (that I had seen) to be found, seems like i remember one on ebay some months back,,the seller had one in A-2 and a one in INFI,, that was the last A-2 that i had seen.,, but i am really glad to be getting this one.

not sure about that 'bit o green ' in the handles,, I would like to know if it was used on the first A-2 SHBA's or the later A-2 models...hoply someone will shine a little lite on the subject.. but personally I like the look of those greenish handles better than the Black.

but i have seen alot of the A-2 SHBA that had the black micarta.

I think you may be onto something with the idea of the spilled CBL :D

You've made me do quite a bit of washing! But here goes. My fat A2 smooth bolt has the green (this one is a safe queen that I got from Gundy). Both the fat smooth and slotted bolts have the green (A2 and Infi). The tube fastened one is some sort of a brown?

Looks like it all came from one batch as the pattern is pretty much the same as yours. The one I got from Gundy is an early one as the polished areas of the handle are gun blued. Not so on the other ones. It turns black really quick (the micarta), but then again I wear it next to my skin and it gets sweated on right quick in S Fl.

I much prefer the smooth and slotted bolts for the way they feel in hand, like they were made for me. You'll see what I mean when yours arrives. They both get carried.

Enjoy!
