Thanks to alaskanativeson selling a skinny on Ebay and gunfixrjoe selling a CS R3 on the trade section I scored some great knives! I gave the Ash the "Bomb" treatment. The CS didn't need a thing other than a sheath and Joe hooked me up with a custom kydex gift! Murf Paw Kydex is fantastic. Now for the pics.

And yes that has bacon in it!

Nice job on the Skinny Ash

If you have a lot of time on your hands you can give the knife a good satin finish using wet and dry paper and then Flitz. Always follow the grain of the grind from the spine to the edge and for the hilt and the ricasso a wedge shaped pencil eraser is a good "block" to get into the small recesses.

It only took me about 16 hours :D

Man Pete, looks almost production run, great job.

If that is decarb, you might want to remove it. Check out this thread:

Yeah, I'm not sure... I think it is but, it doesn't seem to be affecting the condition of the blade. When I "Bombed" my DSSF I removed it and polished the blade. On my RD7 I didn't. I was going to see if anything started to happen and if it does it will be satined or polished. Thanks for the head up and further info. I was hoping it was just part of the coating that just didn't come off because I love the way it looks.

Alright Brother, that's to much info now,:p Seriously, congrats on some good scores.

Haha! I should've seen that coming. :) I always have a shaved spot on my arm or leg or both from testing my knives that are sharper than a working edge.

Thanks Zymologist!

Great looking knives! Those playing cards are awesome and the last picture of the eggs is making me hungry.
