Hey guys, Ive mainly been a folder collector and have quite a few but now I want a nice fixed blade knife. Ive looked at a lot of busse knives and I love what I see. Anyways, Im considering getting the badger off the site but have a couple questions about what options to select...

So far ive decided id like:

Urban grey finish for the knife
but Im not sure on what handle type to go with. I actually dont have much experience with micarta (i dont own a knife with it) so I was wondering how the micarta compares with g10 with overall durability and str. I was also considering the snakeskin micarta s that looks pretty nifty but I think i prefer black because my users tend to get really dirty--Im just wondering how the snake does with dirt (is it easy to clean?)

Any help would be awsome, thanks in advance=)

Canvas Micarta is probably the most durable handle material between G-10, Linen Micarta, and Paper Micarta. It's very comfortable, grippy, and grips well when wet. It cleans with warm water and soap to look brand new (minus slight staining from your palm sweat and oils). Snakeskin is a great choice and hardly shows dirt/sweat at all.

Of all the finishes, the Grey is the least durable from what I hear (it tends to chip) followed by Green, Black, and Tan being the toughest. I don't know about the camo's.

The Badger looks like it'll be a handy knife! I've got a couple on order :D

The Urban Gray blade finish looks great with just about any handle (scale's) that you choose, my favorite combo with the Urban Gray blade finish is the Snake Skin,,which looks great with which ever blade finish you choose.

but as far as durability,,the Micarta and G-10 are pratically indestructable, so you caint go wrong with either.

yep,,,

they are much fatter and more contoured than the standard

oh, nice I like the idea of more contour on the handle, Ill definatly go for that. Still undecided with g10 or micarta. anyone got a pic of a busse with g10?

you can go to the"Nothing But Pictures' thread and see blade with both standard and Magnum scales..

but the Magnum scales were only avalible in Micarta.
