Howdy,

I'm happy to announce my newest knife. Today I ordered my 1st Busse ever. It's probably not the biggest or baddest. But, for a 61 yr old coot like me, the size and weight factor seemed right.

I ordered the Bushwacker Battle Mistress, combat grade. The one in the pic on their page right now. Tanker gray blade with black G-10 handle.

I can't wait for it to be made and ship. I've always wanted a long Busse but the weight put me off. I hope this works well for some light use.

Just had to post and share my enthusiasm! :D

Congrats, it wont be your last.

Thanks guys. It looks like I'm going to be selling off a lot of my superfluous folders, I never use if I have to get more Busse's! :)

That's a great one to start with! Congrats

The wait is tough, but the weight isn't ;)

Congrats!

It's a great knife - they've got a good feel to them.

Post some pics when you get it.

Wooo! HOOO!

Good for you! So, this is your first Mistress;):D

You sprung for the G-10! That should be a sweet combination. I hope you have some hard work planned for it. My son and I use mine in the back yard quite a bit processing firewood, hacking back shrubs and generally destroying things. It's a tough tool.

Great choice for a first Busse! I want a BWM pretty bad..barring anything too spendy at the Oregon Knife Collectors Show, that will probably be my next order. And welcome to the addiction!! :D

That's a great purchase as a big blade.

Not to fuel the addiction too much, but think about getting the Boss Street as well (while available from the shop). I have Meaner Streets and Active Duty blades, but I find the Boss Street to be my favourite woods/bush blade in that size. It feels extremely solid, yet it is very easy to use for daily camp tasks such as food prep and whittling.

With that pair, I don't think you would truly need to add more... but of course "need" and "want" are very different things, and many of us (myself included) are influenced largely by the latter :)

Wow - thanks! You guys are sure a tight knit clan. Maybe I'll understand better when I whack some kindling wood with it.

They must really be "all that!" Like I've heard :D

RUN NOW!! Don't say you weren't warned about the MADNESS. They multiply!
