Is Cabelas going to have any special Buck knives this year? Like AG models with specials handles or a tracks models? Also where would be the best place to find an Alaskan guide 110 with stag handles for sale?

The only ones I've seen announced are the Jim Shockey Signature Series. They are currently available.

I have seen nothing about a new release of Alaskan Guide knives in Stag. The AGs in stag came out as a limited edition a few years ago and have sold out from the retailer (Cabelas) a while back. Of the AG Stag 110s I believe 500 were made. You can only buy them post-market now (e-bay, the Bucks for Sale forum, shows, etc).

The AG110 stag are pretty knives. I bought one to put up and then wife bought me one to carry for a Christmas present when they came out. But I ruined a sheath for the one that is put up on display. Geuss that means I can never sell it.:)

Your right. I will never sell it. The second from the top knife I've been carrying everyday except on Sundays for about 3 years now. I need to find someone to make a new sheath. Mines starting to get loose. I might ask here on the forums about one.

Kyhunt, Nice AG 110's . Jack Rudder makes sheaths, he posts here, find his name and e-mail him . DM

Good question, the spring catalog still shows the Ironwood AG's I think those are sold out but there may be a few still around. The AG stag's are gone from cablea's, but, you can find the for sale on ebay or here on the forum from time to time.

The Tracks series knives come out in limited numbers of 500 knives. It can take more than one year for the current edition to sell out before they offer a new edition. There is currently a Box Elder wood, Elk cut out version available in the bargain bin and can be a bargain I guess if that's what you are looking for. I have no Idea when or what the next issue will be.

The AG stag 110's are one of my favorite knives. One thing to make note of is the black coating has at least two variations that I know of. One is a jet black glossy coating and one that is more of a flat black non-gloss finish (see the photo below).

110s with Sambar Stag & S30V blades are my favorite folders. I'd post pictures of mine but I only have a cell phone for digital photography. I have both the matt black and glossy black AGs, too. :)

What's the sheath look like???

They are unused, split leather ( the so-called "distressed" leather) but I'd only part with one in exchange for a knife. :)

I do use a "distressed" AG sheath for my 110 EDC rotation. I picked up a couple extra AG "distressed" sheaths from someone who had his knives displayed permanently in a case. He figured he didn't need them, I figured I did. :)

So it's just plain jane Distressed leather sheath... ... I collect different sheaths with logos on them... I collect to much stuff... :o

JD4570 your exactly right about the blade coatings. You cant tell it from the lighting in my picture but the top knife has the flatter finish while my carry one is glossy black. A knife for a sheath... hummm let me think.... Sorry..:)
