Today I picked up a pair of newly-released pants at Cabellas called "Trekker" pants, part of their XPG (Xtreme Performance Gear) line. They are moisture-wicking and I think they are the coolest pants I've ever seen. They are like high-tech "parachute pants,"* as we used to call them. I got the "Gunpowder" color, which is a darkgray/light black tint, and the fabric is awesome.
Those if you who were not a part of the '80s never got to experience what we called "parachute" pants. Parachute pants were futuristic, made from a silky parachute-like material, and were very popular for a time while you could get them. Think John Glenn silver space suit, Think MTV and their "Moon Man" trophy, but matte grey and a hair looser fitting. Futuristic, very comfortable and chicks dug them.
Anyways, check out these new pants at Cabelas. Pictures do not do them justice, and when layered with a pair of full-length Under Armor they'd be great for cooler weather, also. They run $80.00.
Just thought I'd let you know.
*Not MC Hammer "Hammertime" pants, those were ridiculous of course and no one wore them except, well, MC "Can't Touch This" Hammer in his video. And I think probably once out clubbing. Chicks did NOT dig those.
