Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

:) :D  :) :p

Far exceeded my expectation.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want more, and more, and I said I wasn't going to buy anymore knives.

I think I have that virus - knifusmoregetus.

Don't hold back Practical Use,

Tell us how you really feel:D I know you will enjoy your new EDC, especially the TALONITE blade.

COBALT RULZ!

I have 4 versions of the Camillus EDC(talonite, 154cm,anniversery,D2) and the old glory version on the way. It is a great design by Darrell Ralph and very well produced by Camillus.
I think the next step is a custom version. :D

I have been doing the new knife thing (I hope I am not the only one) -cutting stuff up, digging paper and cardboard out of the trash to slash, wandering through the house finding reasons to cut things.

What I find most interesting:

Cutting the same medium, paper or cardboard, with the EDC and my AFCK in M2 - the EDC just glides through. The AFCK is not dull by any means - hair popping sharp.

The knife looks good - if the gold starts to wear I would consider hard chrome next time I do a gun.

The way the Talonite cuts is really nice - my next thought is Talonite kitchen knives.

Thinking about hard chrome, what about hard chroming a blade, except for the edge - much like a black coating????

Can Talonite be sandwiched between two layers of stainless, much like several kitchen knives I have?

The ultimate???? - how about a mini AFCK axis lock in Talonite.

I suffer from lust and greed!!!!!

I just got mine yesterday. It is great. I touched it up last night on the white ceraminc sticks of my SharpMaker - Scary Sharp! It now matches my Talonite Talon. What a pair. This EDC is going to be with me for a long time. Thanks Camillus for a really fine EDC.

EDC-schmeedeecee. That's a fowlllding knife. :p

The D-2 ARCLITE, now that's a little cutting wonder. How excited can you get over a $40 knife with no handle? Way excited! Those things are so cool!

I gotta ask, Steve: Where'd ya find it? I've checked the AG Russell site and only come up with the standard model?

I think A.G. Russell sold out of the D2 Arclite's before they even had a chance to put them on their web site. They should have another shipment in before Christmas, though. I hope...

A.G.Russell is also selling the Talonite EDC's at a resonable price, they will be $184.00 in their catalog, but can be had cheaper if you are a member of their Knife Collectors Club, which you can join for free from their web site. I wish I had extra cash this Christmas, but we've got to save up for our little one on the way.

Daniel:

Thanks for the info. AFAIK I can do somewhat better on the EDC price than the AG Russell price quoted, either through 1SKS or KPMO. Glad to know I may still have a shot at a D2 Arclite, though!

Just got my Talonite EDC. Razor sharp out the box. Great QC. Now searching for some things to cut.

Trim all plants.
Open all boxes (if they need it or not).
Remove all threads from all items of clothing in closet.
Shave your cat.
"Even-up" all pencil erasers.
Sharpen all pencils.
Edge the lawn.
Slice any and all cheese.
I need help - new knives unleash something strange.
