Here's a one of a kind camp knife I just finished for a customer. The blade is O1 steel, 3/16" thick, and just over 5" long. The sheath and method of carry is something different for me. It was something that the new owner asked for. I was carrying this knife at around my 4 o'clock position and it's really comfortable. It's easy to draw and sheath the knife which is very important for me when I carry a fixed blade. I've never tried this before and I wasn't sure how it would work but now that I have, I really like it.

I like the dual loops, I have a horizontal carry sheath with one loop. It isnt even centered, so the thing dips to one side, not so good.

Very nice looking knife as well, very pratical size for camping.

Nice knife! Like the sheath and have played with similar design.

Sorry haven't set up a pic account yet so not sure how to post a shot of my sheath. But I have played with the same design because I like to carry a pistol in a thigh rig. Placed there on the belt keeps it nicely out of the way and easily accessible.

Dude, that is friggin sweet! Love it. I am gonna have to come down there and check out your knives in person.

A tip for carrying your sheath like that, have the sheath straddle a belt loop on your pants, it will keep it in place much better. I carry a knife scout style everyday and I took the opening of my sheath (abs, not leather) and passed it through my belt loop to keep it more stable.

Thats an awesome knife Ray, that would be a good one to offer in 3" 4" 5" 6" or 7". I'm really liking that sheath too. Is the new owner a lefty?

Guys, thanks for the comments. I don't think I'm much of a sheath maker but I like how this one turned out. Thanks to the owner of this knife for turning me on to this type of sheath and mode of knife carry. I think I'm going to use this if I ever make one for myself.

Looks good, Ray!

I'm a huge fan of horizontal carry, but I carry mine at the 11 o'clock position with the handle turned toward my belt buckle. There is no more convenient way to carry a knife that I have found. Your horizontal sheath looks great. I must keep that in mind... :) If I ever get a chance to score a Nessmuk from you, I know what I'm asking for by way of sheathing!

I've carried at the 11 o'clock and I liked that too but I like the 4 o'clock most. I just tried it for the first time with this sheath. I find it easiest for taking the knife in and out. This is really important to me for carrying a fixed blade.

I really like the whole package. Great looking knife, and a awesome sheath.
