These are some pics of the two sets of Canal St releases. These come with a Limited lifetime warranty ( valid for everything except misuse ) for the life of the owner. I just picked these up today they are absolutely beautiful. In fact the only thing wrong with them is that my photography does not do them justice. The jigged bone set has a CS shield and has fileworked liners. the Ox blood set is stabilized wood. The trappers come with a CS labeled pouch and the skinners in a custom brown leather sheath. All carry the lifetime guarantee. The polished blades are so well buffed that it is almost impossible to get a reallly good picture. Blades are D2 steel. These are marked 006 which is my permanent number for releases from this company. There are 400 sets in each of these first release sets. I only took pictures of the knives even at that I will need 2 postings since I can only put 5 pics on each post. The sheaths and even the boxes and pouchs are worthy of pics them selves however I tried to at least give some idea of these knives since there has been some interest and my space for pics is limited. The final decision on these as with anything is a matter of personal choice. Even if you do not want to purchase one of these for whatever reason I urge you to at least put one in your hand and feel what a well crafted tool used to feel like when they were made with pride in this country. By the way these knives are a bit odd an you may not be used to the tang marking you see it has USA as it country of origin. You might want to take a picture of that tang marking it may very well soon be extinct. LT

The pictures are fine. The knives are very fine! Thanks for posting those. The USA tangstamp may become rare, but I doubt extinct. Not everyone wants imported cutlery. And as long as a market exists, someone, large or small will fill the vacume created. Maybe not at the chicom price point, but doubtlessly with true craftsmanship we have come to expect. That is if Knife Control Laws permit it. Thanks again LT!

I have a jigged bone set on order. The S/N will be 022. After seeing your photos I am all the more eager for my set to arrive.

I was really pleased I hope you are as well. They were moving them out as I watched. For a knife junkie like myself it was really a great experience. I was also there when Smokey gathered up Schrades collection to take it south. That was not pleasant. I believe you bought a piece of history no matter what happens. LT

My jigged bone set arrived today! These knives are magnificent. Outstanding fit and finish, classic design, tasteful stylistic touches, and shaving sharp. I am very well pleased indeed.
