New candidate for Link handle, also need an ID if possible.

This may work, physically it's a good fit. I'm thinking of cutting the handle off just before the curve or even before, and making this something like 18-20 inches. The head is almost 7 inches long with a 5 inch edge. I would love to know who makes it, looks old anyway. It's not even close to seated, just visually matching it up.



 
That looks like a small broad axe or side axe. Is one side flat with a single bevel? If so 18" is ok but I would go with a straight handle or even a sideways curved handle away from the flat side.

I have had offset hewing hatchets before but this is the same on both sides also if I cut that handle just before the curve it will be pretty straight and also angled slightly away from the blade as it should be I think that this one will turn out pretty good.
