I'm really excited about the new carved DFK Ti Clip!!!

These are ready to ship! I have three in stock.

Mega tough, ultralight and sharp with a 72 RC carbide edge.

.160" Carbidized Titanium Blade

.100" Titanium Frames

- Single Bevel Right Hand Grind with back micro bevel

- Heat Colored Hardware

Everything is Titanium besides the hardware which is heat colored stainless steel, I used self lubricating phosphor bronze washers. Non-sharpened swedge.

Nice! Ever consider shaping the top of the frame to work as a bottle opener with the tang?

Michael Morris already does that. If Daniel put a bottle opener on his friction folder, it would become a "Michael Morris inspired friction folder" not a DFK original. :)

Ahh, thanks. I hadn't seen those MM knives before. They're beautiful.

Ok, one more question for you: Ever consider making a batch of these with a thinner blade? .160" seems pretty beefy for a friction folder that's not going to be used prying, chopping, battoning, etc...

To be honest, they are fairly slim already. I think you should hold one and report back to us on how you feel about it afterwords :)

:D You guys rock!

I stand behind the clips! :D

Toothyedge I like those ideas and even have one designed with an opener tang... so far I think it needs more work but might eventually happen.

I'll do a thinner blade too, .093-.125" range even though I really enjoy these at .155" now... I do grind them thin and the hollow is a deep chisel for the most removal. A thinner stainless blade will likely be next.

I have these drawn up in a framelock configuration and will do them also! I hope to later this year after a few other framelocks I have designed.

Farchyld, I like that! :D
