I picked this little beauty up on a shopping trip to Eddyville, KY last Saturday, it's new for 2006, a 6.5 Bonestag 3 3/8th inch Barlow with a Spearpoint mainblade.

Fit and finish are top notch, no gaps or flaws anywhere, the backsprings are strong like my Case knives from the 60s-70s era, and it has half-stops which I have come to like.

Thanks Scott, the backsprings on this one were the first thing that stood out to me, it was the last one they had, they actually had to take it out of the Case display cabinet. I have a few jack-knives from the 70's and the backsprings on this one are just as strong. Not sure if that is because of the half-stops?

I used this one today to cut up a heavy cardboard box and the edge held up well. I usually go for Case's CV first, but this one isn't available in CV and I have been wanting a Barlow for awhile.

Nice knife, it or the carmel barnboard version, will be my next knife purchase. Keep asking for the CV stuff, Case does listen and sometimes will do a run if enough wheels sqeak a little. If the barlow was in CV, I'd already have one.

They did such a great job on the 6.5375CV, I hope they hear my nightly prayers for a 6.5 Bonestag CV sowbelly! :D

Boy, I'd like to see that too.

The 6.5375CV is exactly what I'm talking about, along with the new redbone CV series. Enough folks kept up the pressure and finally out came the product.

Has anyone checked out the one-armed razor model yet?
The size of the knife with the long front bolsters make this a nice choice for us guys that like old timey patterns.

I may check out those other Barlows, I have to say, I have been carrying this 6.52009 Barlow since I bought it, and it is quickly becoming a favorite!

Darn now I have another pattern to collect! :(
