I accidently posted this over in maintenance...moved it here.

I exchanged the "over-sharpened" Mini Trapper for a Case Amber Bone Canoe with CV blades. I like the design of the Mini-Trapper better, but this Canoe has been catching my eye for a long time. So in recent weeks I've purchased a Case Sodbuster, Case Medium Stockman, Case Trapper (almost a Mini Trapper), and a Canoe. These Case knives are addictive.

The picture is pretty lousy, bad lighting. The bone on the "front" side is pretty light in color, not much amber to it. It has more of an Amber tone on the reverse.

Glad you found your way back... ;)

FWIW I think a Trapper and a Canoe make a better combo than the Trapper and Mini-Trapper anyway. Good choice!

I have been EDCing a Case Canoe for well over a year now and love the knife. It's a great design, carries well, comfortable to use, and looks great. I really love the blade shapes and sizes as well.

Nice score. I've never seen one with a canoe on the blade, that's pretty cool.

Thanks for sharing.

I like your way of thinking.:)

I don't know anything about the pattern, but I did read that it is the more recent Case knives that have the Indian engraving.

I'm pretty sure the canoe etch is unique to the amber bone CV model.

I've got that canoe myself and it's a real nice EDC. Came out of the box nice and sharp, great fit and finish and nice thin blades.

Consider also adding to your arsenal the Case Baby Butterbean, shown here in black and white to impress the chicks:

Nice choice. I have one as well and carry it with my Case Copperhead, or sometimes I will carry my Trapper. But the Canoe and Copperheads have really gotten to me. They have seen more pocket time than anything else.

Sorry for the lousy pictures. And from a guy that went to school for photography. SHAME SHAME! LOL

I don't really know much about knives, but I am very happy with the fit and finish on this knife. The blades sit nice and straight in their channel, the blade edge is done nicely, it has a nice snap to the blades. Everything seems well fitted together. I also like the etching. I may make this a part of my EDC, or I may set it on one of the shelf displays in my "Man Cave".

Also like the Butterbean. Just how many "chicks" are there on these forums anyway.:foot:

Buck Fan,

Nice knife.:D

I like the canoe pattern. I've been looking at the Case Pinched Bolster canoe for a while, now.

You think they're addictive? Try living 2 minutes away from a Ace Hardware Case Master Dealer. My name is Dylan and I have an addiction. Now you need the big brother, Gunboat Canoe. Oh and don't forget to buy a Butterbean.

That would be hard. I live near a little True Value Hardware. I've bought just about all of the knives out of their small case that I want. Until they get another Amber Peanut in (I missed that one, just before Christmas someone bought it), I'm done with them. Well, there is one Amber Bone Medium Stockman with CV blades, and a Yellow Handle Trapper in CV that are slightly tempting me.:o
