This Case CV Back Pocket with Yellow Delrin scales arrived today.
The knife is 4 5/8" long closed with a 3 1/2" blade. The blade is (to me) reminiscent of a California clip blade and has a pull of 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 and has half-stops. The fit and finish of this knife is very good -- bordering on excellent. The big plus for me for this knife is that the blade is carbon steel --CV.
This knife is very close to GEC's Pattern #23. With the exception of the pinned shield that is standard on GEC knives this Case knife is just as good as anything I've seen come from GEC. The bolsters and scales of the Case knife are thinner, which for my .02¢, makes it a better carrying knife.
EDIT: Below is a picture of a GEC #23 Pattern Yellow Rose Single Blade Trapper. You can see how closely it resembles the Case knife shown above.
