So it appears the new pocket worn whiskey bone cv case knives are in stock at several dealers. This is my favorite cover color by case but I love their cv more. When I saw the two would coincide I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. Well naturally, life happens and now my knife budget is on temporary hold. So, my question to my favorite subforum is, has anyone got their hands on one yet? What's the QC like? I'm particularly interested in the panama trapper. Looks like a great sidekick for deer hunting this year. Looking forward to hearing some first hand experiences.

Personally, I would use a fixed blade for skinning a deer (easier to clean up than a folding knife) but I have no doubt that the Panama trapper will be a good working knife. I don't have a Panama trapper but I had the similar back pocket with CV blades. The Case Bose regular production and collaboration knives are excellent.

I agree that a fixed blade is a better choice for whitetail. I always have a trapper of some sort as a back up. Just another excuse to buy a new knife!

I used a large case trapper last fall to field dress a deer. Went through the rib cage pretty nicely.

I just unpacked several patterns and they are top notch Case. Really nice coloring and f/f.

Good to hear. I look forward to picking a few up.

I like the combination of blades on the panama trapper and the pocket worn whiskey bone looks great. Reminds me of my Harvest Orange which I love. I have no CV currently, this cold be my first.
