Case posted some new stuff on their website. I saw one newish pattern for Case -- a 3318PU with a Clip, SHEEPFOOT and Punch. CV also. WOOO HOOO! I'm very happy to see the pattern with a sheepfoot instead of the Spey. :) :) Thank you Case! They've also pulled the five blade sowbelly out of the vault and introduced some interesting new handle materials, including Carbon Fiber. The Carbon Fiber Sodbuster looks pretty cool. There's lots of new stuff but those are just a few things that caught my eye. Please feel free to add info on any of the other knives as well.

Thanks for the heads up, Jake. I really like that Stockman pattern. And Carbon Fiber?! I must go see what else is new.

I have never really liked bails but that Peanut with scissors and a bail might be hard to resist.

Very cool. Thanks for the headsup. It really seems that Case has been listening to what people were wanting to see.
I never thought I would see the day that they would bring out patterns in Carbon Fiber. Not real traditional looking, but still very cool

Is the trapper in CF flat sided? If so, I think I would prefer it rounded. Even thought CF is not thought of as "traditional", rounding it would give it a more traditional look and feel. Maybe the Delrin of the future.

Even though I can't decide how I feel about carbon fiber on a trapper, I know I will end up getting one. Is there any word on the steel used on the carbon fiber knives?

Without going back and looking, I think they are advertised as having "As Ground" blades. Tru-sharp stainless with a matte finish.

How are the scissors on the Case knives. I love the Peanuts with a bail. I cant decide between a new bailed Peanut with scissors or not. I love the bail, did I say I love the bail? Love the bail.
The carbon fiber looks very cool on the Sodbuster. Not sure about the Stockman with CF.

A peanut with a bail and scissors is such a great idea. Also like the sodbuster with no blade etch. Bye bye, money.

Pic? I couldn't find it???

Sorry Dan. I don't know how to do that.:o I tried but wasn't allowed to copy it. Click on the Magenta Bone knives. It is listed there.

Something tells me you wouldn't mind having a bail on your knife.:)

I am wondering if the scissors are any good too.

The clip, sheepsfoot and awl serpentine stockman does look very very interesting.
It might be my chance to get my first Case knife in CV...and yeller!
I'm still hoping for an ebony swayback jack though...

That Peanut and the mini Copperhead in the same color do look nice. I wish they were CV, but beggars can't be choosers. And the yellow delrin 3318PU is also screaming for my attention.

I guess if you're going to have a problem with a Case knife, the problem of which one(s) to choose isn't the end of the world.
