I just noticed that Case has just came out with ( I think last week) pocket worn Whiskey Bone in Cv.
I always liked the way the pocket worn looked. To me the fit and finish just seemed to be a little better on these, like the way they should be on all knives. I always wondered why they didn't offer these in the CV? Also, I like their oval shield best, and the Case over the xx shield you just can't always read on some knives. Anyway, these pocket worn CV have a different shield that looks nice as well. Anyway, just thought I'd point these out, and if anyone gets one, post a picture. I'd like a Buck trapper, but I'm going to check out the Case when I run across one in person.

Thanks for the heads up. That Whiskey Bone looks good.

I share your thoughts that the fit & finish on the Pocket Worn knives seems to be consistently better. I have no idea why but I've noticed the same thing.

Thanks for the info! I had a copperlock in harvest orange that was pocket worn, it was a beautiful knife with great F/F. I carried a mini trapper forever and loved it. Hope the full size trapper turns out to be exactly what your looking for and in pocket worn whiskey/ CV I'd bet it'll be hard to keep out of the pocket.

I guess it makes sense the Pocket Worn knives have better fit and finish: if the complaints are about cover materials and transitions, then spending a little extra time on the belt grinder smoothing it all out ought to mask some of those original out-of-spec issues.

Either way, that whiskey bone looks great. Happy to see more Case CV offerings. Now if only they'll bring back a CV whittler...

I will definitely be picking up a soddie jr. Thanks for the heads up

I keep waiting for the day they offer the medium jack in CV steel. Regardless, good to see Case coming out with more CV knives.

They also issued their teardrop jack in CV not that long ago. I "think" it is about the size of the medium Texas Jack.

Yep, Ill be picking up the Panama to throw in my pocket during deer season. Love the shape of that secondary blade!

That's the 62087 pattern. I have pretty much all of the Case knives I ever want, but if they decide to come out with a 62087 Medium Jack in a handle material I like, I'll buy one.
