This Case Rogers Bone Damascus Steel Lockback knife arrived yesterday. The knife is 3 3/4" closed with a 2 3/4" long blade. The blade is Case 512 layer Damascus Steel. The tang is stamped Case XX USA with 1-Dot dating this knife as a 1989 issue and the pattern number ROG61405L D. The blade is very sharp and requires no touching up what-so-ever. This particular pattern was a new pattern introduced by Case in 1989 and sold by them in 1989 and 1990. The fit and finish of this knife is excellent -- no gaps, etc..
When I got the knife it was mint but I put it in my pocket right away so by the time I took pictures, there were some pocket (change, keys, etc.) scratches on the bolsters. The bone is an older, jigged, pattern which I like alot.
This knife fits right in with the older traditional Buck 110, Buck 112 and the newer GEC pattern 72 lockbacks.
EDIT: I would have liked to have seen this knife fitted with Damascus bolsters. It would have driven the cost of the knife up but I would have gladly paid the difference.
