Just picked up a new Tribal Lock, Red G10, Stainless blade and my first of this pattern. In the past I haven not had great luck ordering Case knives online but this one is very well put together as far as what I look for. No blade rub or sharp spots and lock up is solid. Only negative is the edge is a bit "toothy" (if that makes sense)...but easily fixed. In all, pleasantly surprised and pleased with this one.

Now, can anyone recommend a decent leather belt sheath that fits a 1.5" belt?

I have "a few" Case knives that I got online & I've had pretty good luck with them. As far as the edges go, yeah, they usually need cleaned up to suit me. Case makes some inexpensive basic leather belt pouches. I have one that I carry my Premium Stockman in. Or there are some crafts people right here on the forum here that do really nice leather work.

I have also been satisfied with nearly all the case knives I have purchased over the years.

The trapper in my pocket isn’t new, but made within the last 15 years I think, it’s tight as a drum, smooth and wonderful thin blades. The only gripes I notice is that the handle wasn’t ground square, one side is a bit taller than the other, and the tip is the Spey blade is warped slightly or maybe a bit bent, but both issues you can’t notice without combing over the knife carefully.

The rest of the fit and finish is impeccable. It’s representative of most of the newer case knives I have owned or handled in the last 10 yrs.

One thing I love about case is they nearly always have a medium pull, with a nice steady tension, not a bear trap and not floppy either, I also like that they don’t put half stops on every knife like others do.

I have these three Tribal Lock knives. I mostly pocket carry them but sometimes I do use a belt sheath - usually, a generic one I have laying around. However; Gary Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley can make you a very nice one. I've seen a sheath he did for one of his Tribal Lock knives and it was a beauty.

Great looking knives Ed. Could you tell me the name of green bone used on the top one?

I picked this one up some time ago, and although I don't carry it often I do like the pattern, and this one is about perfect.

I am waiting for the Mini-Tribal.
I'll have to keep my eyes open for that. I find the one I have just a bit larger then I like to carry.

That one looks great. I've long wanted to try one of these. I too have had some hit or miss Case's, but I hear the Tribal is pretty good. I had a Copper-lock that was very well made. Maybe they do better on their back-locks?
