I sucked it up, spent the money and went out and bought a new case.

I ended up with a Case slimline trapper with SS in brown synthetic barehead.

I needed a little rust protection and I am always dropping my knife, so I dont want bone that will chip or wood that will split/chip/or whatever.

Anyways, this knife was purchased after I bought a kershaw od-1 and a buck omni hunter (not traditional related), but those both ended up either being a nuisance to get open/close or rusting due to improper usage. (nitrogen+beadblast finish=rust)

I picked up the case after those two failed and I dont have to go back to work until tuesday, but I've already given the blade a full workout, pruning some bushes in out in the front, cutting some rope and twine, whittled a little bit, and heck, I even used it to slice up an apple already. Its being broken in very well.

just a quick picture, im not able to get to a camera atm. but its a good knife and i think it might make my new edc list, but its gonna be hard to replace that queen. oh well. thats for another time, just figured Id get this posted before bed, the better half is calling me, so ill head out before she does :p

Good night Nokia~ Nice looking slimline:thumbup:. If you go pay attention to your wife, she will not be jealous of your new knife!:D:o:D

I bought the buck knife (black tactical looking) and she recommended I take it back and go to a feed store or an old brick n' mortar to find a "pretty looking knife" like the ones you have at home.

Nokia....careful, it's not like that Delrin won't crack either......lookie this one if you want something to ride hard:thumbup:

Is the blade a slimline the same exact blade as on a standard trapper?

I don't have a Case Slimline (yet)...:(

But on the Queen Utility (single blade) and Slimline (clip and spey) the blades are much thinner than a Premium trapper.
They are all 4 1/4"

Your Case is a classic!

I have a Queen Utility in Forest Edge Winterbottom (aka brown delrin!)
A great knife!

Slimline Trapper is a must have knife.Long and yet very easy to keep in the pocket.

I have a Yellow handle,Brown Delrin,Bermuda Greenbone and the one I recommend you look at next- CASE Slimline in G-10 with brushed blades, a very nice and practical combo.

The Queen Cutlery Utility I have in CSB and ACSB are also excellent alternatives. But frankly, I like this knife most in Barehead form.

I had to post mine again. It is a pre 70's pawn shop find in stainless.

Here it is compared to a traditional trapper.

That's a great knife. Just the right weight, thickness, length to get'er done.

Mine is yellow CV, and it's constantly sneaking into my pocket, even when it's already had its turn for the week. I just pulled one of my favorite knives out of my pocket and set it on the table by my chair, in fact, just because it's not as slim and comfy as my barehead slimline trapper.

I'm literally just in love with this knife. There isn't anything I think that this knife needs to improve on except I need one in "every color" and the price was right @ 25.00

Have your tried on the Trapperlock yet?? You might like that un too.

Im gonna take some pictures of all the new knives that I just got. I also have two case finns I JUST got also. (need sheaths for them tho) I just gotta get a new battery pack for my camera, other than that I only have a cell phone that takes so-so pictures at night and thats generally the only time I am on BF, unless I am on my phone and I can't upload those pictures from my phone to BF.

I'm liking those case slim trappers. I like the single blade style. Does Case now make a two blade slim trapper? I was just looking at the queen utility knife on another poating and it looks similar in style to the case slim. Nice pick up. If you don't like it let me know and I can take it off your hands for pennies on the dollar!
