I understand your feelings completely. I've already antsy waiting to see the new products for next year.

I'm curious to see if the new catalog will have any new XL folder designs. I hope CS's move to more expensive steels [ a totally unneeded change in my opinion] isn't an indication that the company is striving for 'respectability' and wants to be like all the other knife companies which never, or very rarely, offer XL folders.

I doubt we will see CS moving away from XL folders anytime soon. The large folders have been part of their line-up for as long as I've been buying CS products (since 1996). While I respect your opinion on the steel change (which you haven't been shy about in the least this year ), I was glad to see CS move to these upgraded steels. Their knives are still a tremendous value to me even with the added cost.
