New catalog??

I haven't seen a new catalog in a while, so I requested one from Boker's site. In today's mail.... another Spring/Summer 2010 catalog - just like the one I got late last winter - what gives? Has anyone seen a Fall catalog? I need more goodies to lust over. The additional copy of the Spring/Summer catalog is nice - the original copy resembles the SI 'bathing suit' annual!

I know the catalog people were going over proofs and final editing in the last few days. It should be going to the printer, and then release in the next week or so.

I can't wait to see what page the 02BO190 appears on in the new catalog . . . assuming it appears in the new catalog at all. ;)

The new catalog shipped yesterday, should be arriving at the end of the week for anyone who ordered one. Some really neat stuff in there.
And BLD, the 02BO190 is in there, and some progress has been made. Still might be FEB before we get it, but it is coming along well now.

(Actually, there are some real bargains around.)
 
I just put in my third request for a new catalog a few minutes ago. Boker makes a heckuva catalog with great pics and color. Lot of other companies could take a cue from this.

Oh yeah, I'm not worried about getting the catalog as I know Boker will come through!:thumbup:
 
I got a new catalog too. Gonna place my order on cyber-monday when a fifty dollar purchase gets free shipping.
A new santuko is on the list.

Can't believe I missed this one. Yes RBD, that one is mine and thanks for mentioning it. It already seems to have pre-sold well in Germany, and we are starting to see orders on them here. As always, I will keep you posted when we receive them.

Oh-ohh. Just got a second catalog in the mail today. I sorta sent one or two more requests when everybody started receiving theirs. Hope a third one doesn't show up!:o But I do have some friends who would probably like to have 'em, so all will still be good!:thumbup::D
 
One error I note is on page 13 of both the Fall/Winter and page 13 of the Spring/Summer concerns the Damascus Limited Edition 2010. Its description states that "In 1985, Boker started the yearly Damascus Collector's Knife Series." In actuality, the series began in 1980, according to the Boker Manufaktur Solingen web site.

This provides a complete listing of all these knives from 1980-2009. I happen to own a 1980, number 2, and was surprised to see this misinformation in the catalog. I did not notice it in the Spring/Summer until I read it in the Fall/Winter and then looked back.
And by the way, can anyone make logic out of the Boker model numbering system? i.e. the 112005DAM is not the 2005 Damascus Commemorative while the 112008DAM, the 112009 and 112010 all are.
