My cell phone has been shutting down lately, some times when you are talking on it. After some research I picked up a sonimXP3 pro. it is not a smart phone. It is submersible and rugged 1800 hours of standby time 18 hours of talk time led light and camera w flash. 3 year unconditional gaurantee if it don't work take it back to were you got it and they give you another one

I remember seeing a post about this phone on this forum before. Sweet phone. I think i'd rather have a reliable rugged phone than one i can play games on. After all, it's main function is making and receiving calls with texts as a second and all the other stuff dead last.

That is cool Roy. What carrier provides service for it?

I'm on cincinnati bell (get a discount from work) I think it is an unlocked phone that can use most carriers
All I really want on a cell phone is a phone and a phone book I don't play games I carry an olypus camera any time I'm outdoors

I have net access at work and if I'm out roaming I don't want it. I was mainly looking for water proof. I'm 6.5 miles from an 88 acre lake and kayak 2-3 times a week A phone is a part of my take everywhere gear and I got tired of leaving it in the truck . I have never dumped my kayak, but sure looked like I dumped it after a battle with a 30 lb blue cat :D

It is a GSM phone.

Won't work on Verizon, U.S. Cellular, or Sprint.

It would be nice if Verizon offered something like this. The old G'zOne phone they do offer is a disappointmnet. I went through 2 of them in a year, my coworker turned his in after it stopped working after a couple hard rains.
