New CF Sebenza came with titanium bead?

Just received a new CF Sebenza from that place you buy CF Sebenzas. The birthday is March 7 2013.

Before I unwrapped the knife, to my surprise, I looked at the birthday card and the description said "Handle: Titanium, Front: Black carbon fiber w/ black lanyard & ring(?) spacer bead"

The pictures on the website didn't show a bead on the lanyard.

I was surprised because I've never seen a card mention a bead, and I've never heard of a CRK coming with a bead preinstalled.

To my surprise and delight, there was certainly one of those really nice CRK beads with the anodized blue lines included in the middle of the lanyard wrap.

Anyone else get one of these new Sebenzas with free bead?

I thought about getting one, but ran out of money. Show a pic when you get a chance. And good car wax will really bring out the lustre of the CF, if that turns you on.
 
I've never been much on lanyard beads, but the ring spacer bead looks great.
 
I didn't think any of them did, it must be something they added very recently to the CF Sebenzas. I've been surprised with the lack of reviews of them on YouTube and on here, but I haven't seen any that mentioned the bead in reviews or for sales.
 
The StarBenza comes with a small bead as well as some of the plaza cutlery ones. I have not seen the bead you have though, most are shorter.
 
Not very fond of lanyards but that one matches the CF very nicely! :thumbup:

Did the others that came with the bead have it written on the paper work as well?
 
I received mine today with one! The birth date on mine is Nov 12, 2012. I had never even seen one before...it was a pleasant surprise. I usually am not into lanyards very much...but I really do like this one!
 
I hit my CF with some Cape Cod metal polishing cloths (they're good for anything, not just metal), and then with some meguiars ultimate compound and then some NXT tech wax. That baby shines like glass now. Really brings out the sexy 3dness of the CF and has been holding up without any noticeable scratches so far.
 
I got my CF Sebenza with a early '12 (can't quite remember the date and the box isn't handy) with a plain lanyard and took it off...

Might've left it on if I had that one! Nice pickup.
 
Both of mine were from last year. Not a fan of the lanyards though. I just wish the lanyard pin would sit in the large without a lanyard like it does in the small.

Yes. Polish and wax = beautiful scale.
 
I am considering polishing mine, but I don't want it to be real slick. It does seem to have a little grippiness to it now from the factory. Did the polish and wax make it slick?
