I got my chiruwa AK last night from AYBB April 14. Its a fine khuk. It has double fullers a wooden handle that is plenty big for my hand. The blade was well polished and fairly sharp.
I took it outside and whacked it flat several times against a tree, then did some chopping on a live maple and then a dead maple limb with no rolling, nicking or deformation. Didn't do enough to tell whether the full tang would bother me. Not sure how it compared to my WWII 18", since I haven't used that since last fall.
I was most impressed by how light and quick the blade was. I don't have a scale, but I was expecting some massive hatchet like chunk of metal. This is not like that at all, heavier but better balanced than my BAS.
The only weird thing was that it came with two chakmas and no kardas.
