I know this isnt kukri related but I like this forum best.

I just picked up the new for 2013 Aranyik E-nep size -1 and I wanted to share.

The e-nep is also know as the Thai kukri and is a great chopper. I compaired it to a couple of well known KLOs as it is just too thin when compaired to a quality kukri like a Himalayan Imports AK. The biggest plus is they are only $45 (no sheath) so you wont care about banging it around.

Also, this knife is ugly, dang ugly, but the heat treat is great. I chopped through some 5 year old, rock hard, eucalyptus and the edge showed no chipping or rolling.

Length 18.5 inches
Weight 28.5 oz
Blade thickness 5/32

Nice knife Dirtbiker!
It does remind me of the Hmong knife.

Google Aranyik Hawaii and you will find him. He sells a lot of tropical harvesting tools.

Dirtbiker, that's a sweet blade! It looks like it would make a great brush blade and that it slices through vegetation with ease. Thanks for sharing!

I might be hitting you up for a leather sheath to keep it covered.

boy my bloods a boilin for one realy bad now, thanks for the links Karda. realy interesting.

Picked up a similar blade at a gunshow in MD. Shelled out 33.00. Yours has a much nicer handle. The seller claimed the blade steel was L-6 reclaimed from old saw blades. If you can find one of these, do not hesitate to purchase. Takes and keeps a hair-shaving edge.
