Another one I have been working on in the last days.
It is 14 7/8" long with a blade lenght of 9 7/8", full flat chisel (full flat on one side, sharpened on one side), made of 1/4" thick 5160 steel stock.
It was heat treated yesterday by my good friend Ariovaldo and has super nice temper line. I put a lot of taper on the handle and very little on the blade as I wanted it to be tip-heavy - and so it is, balancing at about 1/3 of the blade lenght.
The reason why I have not finished her so far is because I ran out of belts, but I´ll have it ready this week and with a genuine Japanese blue ito handle to boot.
Let me know what you think!
