Here`s a chopper I just finished up. 8" long x 3/16" thick x 2" tall blade, with "forged finish", brass pins and torched oak handles. I was doing some chopping with it, and the recurve edge really bites in. This one is for a customer, but I`m hoping to make one for myself with a satin finished blade.

This knife looks like a lot of thought went into it. The edge being forward of the grip that far is sure to make it a wood chipper.

Looks great John.

Glad to see I’m not the only one thinking about recurved camp knives.

What’s the story on the finish, is that something new for you?

I have some customers requesting that finish for a "primitive" look.
