I saw Chuck Hawes at the Badgerland Show in WI a couple of months ago and fell in love with a Black Lip Pearl liner lock folder on his table. I hee hawed around and ran out of cash so I wasn't able to afford it by the time I got back around. 
Oddly enough a dealer friend of mine, Tom from Tom's Cutlery in Rockford, IL, picked it up without knowing I was looking at the exact same knife. Anywho, I was in his shop a week or two later and noticed it on display. The Pearl on this thing is exquisite, absolutely beautiful. It looks better and better depending on the light it's in. There is filework on the inside and out and it's got a high carbon damascas blade.
I talked him out of it today and couldn't be happier even though my usual knife fix has been going the tactical route lately.(I also picked up an older model Busse Combat Basics #9. The two knives couldn't really be farther apart in styles.
