The ideal of this knife came about over 2 years ago when I saw a pic of Russ personal chute / jump knife that he made 30 years or so ago . After some small changes this is what we came up with . The blade is 4 1/2" of Elmax with a fine satin finish , tapered tang , all stainless hardware with ribbed or fluted canvas micarta handles . A nice loveless style sheath completed the package . This piece should be in hand in about 2 days . Thanks for looking -

Hard to beat ANYTHING that Russ makes.....congrats on a superb Chute Knife.

Thanks Jerry. It's been an enjoyable re-visit with this style, and

I've enjoyed conspiring with you on it...

FYI...I used a 4" contact wheel to grind the hollows, and mold

stones from 240 - 800X, then paper to 1200X to finish. Elmax

resists abrasives well, and will be a very field worthy blade.

Thanks too, for the coments, guys.

Congrats on an awesome Chute, Jerry.
The ultimate bug out package.
