A loser. Here’s my Cetos:

After a few days and maybe 25 flips, the knife felt super grindy. I was like “WTH?”

Opened it up and a tiny piece of metal fell out. Half the Stop Pin in the blade sheared off.

knife was never used, just flipped open a few times. Doh! I’m glad I didn’t use the knife and have the blade break free!

Hi friend,It's sorry to hear that, would you please let us know your email or contact us via service@weknife.com,we will try our best to help and take good care of your CIVIVI knife.

Liked the looks of knife enough to purchase it. Hate the painful divot that the rigid steel lock bar creates on my thumb enough to not use it! 👎

I probably would have picked this up if it was a liner lock. It isn't just that I prefer to have the same material on both sides. If I'm going to do a frame lock, I generally want titanium with a steel insert. Full steel is heavier than it needs to be for EDC.

Sorry to see issues popping up for people on this one. A lot of factors go into lock bar access and comfort. Sometimes, a jimped lock bar is too far forward and creates a hot spot. Sometimes, the angle and shape just makes it uncomfortable. (Sometimes, the relief on the opposite scale for access creates hot spots of its own.) Some knives in the WE family are sharp at the top corners of the lock bar and need to be filed a little, but that's true for lots of brands from TwoSun to Olamic. At least with a satin finish, modifications don't stand out. This is another case against coatings.

The broken pin is a freak occurrence. It's probably just a material defect in the steel. This is the first I've seen something like this on a WE but I've seen it on other parts in general over the years.

^^ Generally speaking, I prefer a Ti frame lock too - mainly because of the weight that comes with a steel frame lock. This one’s not too bad because of how slender it is and the Micarta show-side scale. Sometimes I just get sick of liner locks, too. I’ve got a billion CIVIVI liner locks and Ti frame lock WEs at this point.

Wait, maybe it's the whisky, but how are you holding the knife that your thumb is pressed against the lockbar?

Well if you don't want it, send me a pm. I was going to buy one as a gift for a friend.
