If it only had a thumb stud or hole for a manual opening option, I might be interested.

Civivi has done nothing but impress me since they came out, for a low price point you get a build and quality comparable to a much more expensive knife. I've had 3 Civivi and loved them all, WE did a good job on these. I'm usually afraid to purchase a knife under $100 because of past experience, but I never hesitate with any of theirs

The Praxis makes an excellent gift as well.

I wish I had purchased several when the huge river site had them at $32 for the blue scales.

A great knife and one of their first releases along with the backlash. It still lives on top of the refrigerator for some light food prep and package opening due to how stain and rust resistant that 9cr can be and the geometry is just screaming to be used to slice up veggies. Great folder and at a price point where you can use it and not worry about it.

I don't miss the better steel on my Shredder. It cuts so well it doesn't matter if it's just D2. I use a folder to cut green growth off hiking trails and it takes a thin sharp blade to do it in one swipe. Shredder is up there with the best.

The shredder is really fantastic and knife that cuts well above its price point. Even with D2 the edge feels sharp longer than it should with the thin hollow grind. A version with 14C28N would be a real winner as well.
