Hi,

Today I had some empty time and I decided to make the clips of my Manix 2 cts-BD30P, Para 2 S30V and my new Stretch ZDP-189 mat black :D
I sanded al the 3 clips with some sandpaper (don't know which grid) really fine. I have Cleaned them and sprayed the clips mat black in the mild spring sun.
I put around 8 layers on the clips because the have to take some wear and tare. Put the screws back with locktite 2701. I notices the screws were really loose on all 3 knives. Also my new Stretch zdp-189. So some locktite was necessary.

I think it looks better in my pocket and it doesn't stand out as much as the polished ones.

Ps Somebody know something to put on the blade of my zdp-189 Because it stains quickly.

Here are some pics :D

Those look good!

I don't care much for coated clips myself, nor do i care for the newer shiny Spyderco clips. I sand mine with a medium grit paper, and then a scotch bright pad to knock the shine off.

I like the black clips! I usually just switch to and from the ones that I want on my blades. I have been using Super lube on both my pivots and on my blades that need a little coating. its really thick stuff, so just like really rub it into the blade and it will stay there for a while. Just dont use it on a blade if you intend to use that blade for any food stuff. It works great on blades and great on the pivots. Nice long lasting grease!

Just look it up on amazon. its pretty cheap for the amount you get.
