Hello all,

I just got a BK-9 for Christmas and am freakishly excited about. I can't wait to use it. I want to etch the logos then strip the coating but I am curious as to how the logo etch will come out with the new format of the coating. I etched a few of my last ones but they were roll stamped and I like how they turned out. Anyone have any pictures of their logo etchings on their new Beckers? How did they turn out? Do they look pretty similar to the old ones? I'll get some pictures up of the 9 when I am done mod'ing it. That thumb ramp is SOO gone. Has anyone used a file to do it or a dremmel the preferred method? Good to be back around here, have missed the good interactions ;) Here's one for all the fun that will be had at SHOT Show 2013!!!! :D

While I cant help you with the etching I have de-ramped my -9. Ive seen somebody do it with a file but I used a bench grinder then filed it smooth and sanded. I would personally stay away from the dremel but if that what you have then you could make it work.

Just because I like this pic...

P.S. 1095 sparks (from grinding) hurt like a MOFO when you get them in your eyes. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES
