I was looking through the cold steel catalog and saw an interesting new product line. They are making some traditional looking folders with the triad lock called the Mackinac and Lone Star hunting knives.
The Mackinac has a 3.5" blade, however the Lone Star hunter is 4". The Lone Star hunter is very similar in dimension to a Case single blade hunter. Either is available with a nail-nick or ambidextrous thumb stud. Both have tip-up pocket clips that can be mounted on either side but only the Mackinac hunter has a lanyard hole The large one is FFG but the other is hollow ground. These are definitely a new way to go with the triad lock, but I think before they go into large scale production they both should be FFG, each have lanyard holes, and be drilled for tip-down as well as tip-up carry.
