Thanks to onestopknifeshop for getting me a new black plain blade at less than retail, which from my investigations seems pretty darn hard to do.

I'm happy that it appears to be excellent quality, feels good in my hand, is smooth, and best of all that damn wave quick opening thing is awesome! I had my doubts it was a quick as an automatic (which i read in previous posts) but now i am convinced.

As for the locking system, i still favor my benchmade's g-10 axis lock, i think that's the state of the art...

Nice goin ernie...

p.s. my thumb stud on the blade spins freely around its screw. Is this standard or should i tighten it down alittle?

The Commander is an awesome knife, and as previously stated, THE WAVE ROCKS! It truly is faster than an auto, and I too found that hard to believe until I actually put it to the test against one of my Socoms. Hands down the Commander blew it away.

Congratulations on your purchase of your NEW COMMANDER,Brother Methias: the OFFICIAL most awsomest kninfe "of all time" as Ali would say ;-), and welcome to the Club!!!! i'm sure you'll have many happy hours showing all your friends the wave feature---i know I do, and i've had mine for about a months now. this is an incredible knife--it could be used for just about ANYthing, if ya didn't have a lesser knife on board--(you DO carry more than *1* knife at a time, don't you? (DON't you?) whew! for a second there i thought you were the only one, but--never mind. anyway, i hope all goes well (no cut fingers, etc.) and a special congrats on getting it for less than retail! some of us weren't so lucky....i got mine about 4 weeks before blowoutknives, com got them in :-(. cost me an extra $70 US. but enough about ME...Susie, show us what's behind
your lovely, lovely RAVEN Door! ha
