I suggested to schradewebguy that he get busy before they take the engraver away and make up a new limited edition commemorative series maybe a 156 OOT (Out Of Timer) would be appropriate. :p

He thought making a knife for each forum member with thier nickname engraved on it and sending them out would be fun but I don't know if he can make that happen.

Any other ideas for a good epitath for the last knife out of the factory before the vultures come and take the machinery away?

Ummm... how about:

"Old Timers never die, they just fade to a nice patina"

""Never forget your Uncle Henry"

"Schrade Tough. The legend will live on."

"Schrade. Built to last"

"Old Timers get better with age"

Sorry, that's the best I can do. Guess I won't be getting that ad agency job anytime soon...

Glenn, that's better work than some ad agency stuff I've seen. :)

How about Phil's saying...."Uncle Henry's Lost Souls" combined with part of yours, "The Legend Will Live On".........??

See, I could work for an agency......Just steal everyone else's material. :o

Some good stuff there... I like the lost souls one. Um Steve, you listening? I'll take 2! :D

Me too!!!

"Old Timers: Sharp as ever!"

I like the Lost Souls Phil has come up with.

Rumors about a re-org true?

Anyone on the inside?

A wonderful Idea. Very thoughtful. Of course all of us here would be willing to pay our share for such an item.

I'm credited twice in this thread for coining 'Uncle Henry's lost souls'... but I don't think I was the originator of it. I've done a couple of searches of the forum, but can't find who first came up with it. Was it our LT?

Phil

ps... anyone know where I can find an XT1B? The massive version of the XT2B I wrote about recently?

Drove by there today as I had one week ago when it closed .I didn't know last week and today -sign gone , an eerie feeling.

I know how ya feel, Mete. I feel the same way when I see the empty auto factories here in Michigan.

It's sad in the year Schrade should be celebrating their 100th Anniversary - that they've gone out of business.

I'm sure you guys are aware of the Schrade 100th Anniversary knives:

This is one of them - the model 34OT Old Timer Middleman/Stockman - comes in a special tin box -
