Hello all, it has been a while since I posted anything, being busy has its drawbacks. This is my new ABS cutting knife, kind of a tribute to Jerry Fisk. Just 5160, nickel silver, and curly maple. Right at 15" in length with a 10" blade, 1 3/4" in width. We will see how it does, or rather how I do.

Looks real good Brion. The time is drawing near. I assume you'll be in the May 2nd competition at Old Washington, Arkansas, right?

Looks great, what kind of finish is that on the blade? I take it the maple is unfinihsed for gripping?

Hey Brion, that looks pretty sweet. The cutting comp. at Old Washington is going to be a pretty easy going affair this spring. I just can't seem to get my evil juices flowing like I should.
Look forward to seeing you there. m

Brion, that's pretty neat! Jerry Fisk's handle looked like fiddleback Osage Orange, unless it was stained maple. Your knife is a great looking cutter, fella!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Yes Terry I am planning to be in it, should be fun, are you going to compete?, and Mike I am sure you will come through in the clinch and think up something nice and nasty. Shaving business cards, SHEESH! Will the maple is semi finished, still unfinished enough to provide a good grip and the blade finish is 320 grit hand rubbed. I figure it is my knife it should look fairly good and battle marks are easy to take out. Thanks again everyone and Mike and Terry I will see you in a week and a half. Looking forward to it.
