New computer now Chrome won't allow me to post pictures

I can post pics in the normal way with Safari, but not with Chrome. It must be a security setting that got changed during the change to the new machine. I cannot however find that setting in Chrome. Any help is appreciated. Machine is a macbook air running sequoia 15.2.

Are you trying to directly upload your picture from your computer files? You only said your normal way, so I have no idea what your normal way is.

If so, I directly upload from the lower left Attach Files circled in red.

If that doesn’t work for you, hit the little pic box that is the red arrow and the drop image box comes in. Then hit the “or click here”, circled in red, and your computer/device storage comes up.

Second suggestion may be in your computer settings itself, you may have to change under the General or Control Center, to “allow access to photos”.

But actually check this first (below).

Lastly, in your BF post where you want to add the picture, make sure that the 3dots on the upper right side (circled in red) are not clicked on. If it is, click it off.

Tried both of those ways when using Chrome, neither way works. It always did in the past on an old macbook.
Safari works fine to post pics but I don't generally use it. Here is a screenshot from chrome. I dont see the 3 dots.

Your 3dots are there, just in a different location, more to the left, see red arrow. Your screenshot shows it off, so you’re good.

Have you tried the lower left Attach Files, circled in red? That’s direct upload too.

Also read this link. Lots of info on privacy settings and extensions being open or closed, and this can block your photos not being allowed to be accessed by BF for loading.

My recommendation is to switch to Brave browser which is built on the same base code as Chrome, but doesn't spy on you. I use it on Macs, PCs, phones, and tablets. Your favorite Chrome extensions will also work on it. I have no issues posting pictures from a Mac on 15.3.1 to BF.

Thanks for the link, I updated chrome and now attaching files works fine. I went from an intel chip to an Apple chip, So maybe it was an apple thing
