i have an older carbon wood handled 14" tramontina bolo that i like a lot and have used for probably the last 5 years. the blade is now slightly warped which i dont mind much but ive been looking at the new Condor Bolo's with the polypro. handle. as an upgrade.

however, every image i see online (and they all look to be the same image) show the top swedge sharpened this would make it nearly useless for me and doent make much sense to me. can anyone who owns one verify this? is the top swedge sharpened?

and a few more condor ?'s -
hows that rubbery handle?
plan to use mostly when canoeing, is the stainless good?
and finally also have my eye on the INCA KNIFE. anyone have experience with it?

thanks - CB

false edge up on top on the new carbon bolo. If you get the stainless old bolo version, just take a file to it to dull it. No big deal at all. Not rubbery, polypro so its hard. Inca knife has been one hell of a canoe knife for me. Great for watermelon.

A question, Joe: why does the Condor carbon bolo have the false edge on top? I've been patiently waiting for it to be in stock, but now that I'm looking at it with that false edge...
