So about 7 hours ago I was having a nice day out with my dad and we decided to get lunch. This would turn out to be probably the worst idea I have had in a long time... We ate, the food was great and started heading back to the house. About 5 minutes after we got stopped at a light, I took my seatbelt off to get my zt out of my back pocket to show my dad and ended up putting it in my FRP. As we pulled off (before I could get my seatbelt on) all I heard was a horn... I woke up to a smoke filled car, a broken windshield, another car blocking my door, and pain all over. I turned to my dad to make sure he was ok and told him to get out of the car if he could because the airbag chemicals filled the car and I smelled something burning. After a trip to the hospital, 6 hours on a backboard in a neck brace I went home. I undressed to see if I was bruised anywhere and noticed that the door hit me so hard the top inch or so of my ZT560 tore/bruised my leg! I tried taking photos but its an awkward angle to capture.
So now for what happened:
We got a green light pulled out and got T-boned by a woman in a Lexus Gs430 (which is pretty heavy). She was going roughly 50mph and witness reports say she didnt even hit her brakes when she ran the red light. We got hit so hard we spun a 180˚ across 2 lanes and hit another driver. I slammed my head against the window and knocked out. My dad got the worst of it, he is a "professional" musician and has made a great life for himself through a successful career. He dislocated his elbow and stretched his ligaments and tendons pretty bad. He also got various cuts and bumps. We both are lucky and ok.
