Scott I think it would be cool of you to do another knife design contest with the winner getting a free knife and then doing a run of the new design.Kinda like when Pitdog had his roach belly design done. Just my .002 cents. I am always looking for new designs from your creative side. They are always functional and you know your life can depend on your blade. I have my mind set on this simple design that could be carried as a neck knife and double as a survival knife.

Thanks for listening to my rambling.

Mike, thanks for posting the idea but I'm not planning on any more of those along with no passarounds or runs of a specific model. I've done these in the past and they just don't seem to go anywhere. I'm sitting on $300.00 worth of Gosshawk blanks that have shown no interest. I do better working on individual orders. Some makers like to work in large runs or batches but I prefer not to.

I agree on passarounds, they go nowhere, never get orders from them, and half the time the participants don`t even post a review! Individual orders are the way to go. I had the same result with the Roachbelly, the only one I got rid of was the one I gave away in the contest.

The problem with the contests is that you try and design a knife that will win votes rather than designing one that you will use the most. In the two contests that are currently running I just went with designs that I or my wife would use rather than what I think would win the most votes !

I always wanted one with the scales going all the way up to below the head. It would look more like a tomahawk.:thumbup:

I never knew these existed! Scott, can I get 1x blank put aside as the next project after current orders please?

Ill send a PM in a few days.

Can I get specs and a price on one of those hawks?

I have to check on the exact specs. It's been over a year since I did anything with them. They are 5/16" thick, the cutting edge is 2 3/4".
Once these four are gone I will no longer be offering them.
Scott
