You've got a new convert. I have bought my second Buck this weekend (a Nobleman) after the Mini-110 I bought awhile ago, and plan on buying a Buck Strider 889 one week from today. I would first like to compliment Buck's QC and manufacture of an awesome knife. I have a lot of "high end" knives and as far as sharpness goes, nothing has beat the Bucks I have. So, with that said I would like as much information as you can give me or pump into my tiny, little brain about their company, history, products, etc. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, and I HAVE to have that Hartstook neck knife!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
 
There is a book out about Buck, Tom Ables is the author...comes up on the 'bay. Maybe a Buck Google search?? Welcome convert, you will be unable to resist...

...LOL...Isn't it neat to see a person who was so happy with what he had for knives and probably was devoting so much time to his family and friends and other social ventures, knowing full well he's gonna become just another ADDICT??? ...LMAO...Welcome to the forum fedaykincmndr...and prepare yourself for some restless nights lookin' for that Buck that you're just gonna have to have for that Buck collection in your future...You'll get an information overload if you ask enough questions here...There's more info to be found here than I could ever tell you about...Questions are a good thing...Welcome again...:D
 
OMG I just read a story by Popular Mechanics...WHAT A FAMILY! I've got so much more respect for the company knowing how they started and are going now. ALL VETERANS TOO! Well, I think its official, strictly Buck from now on. Not to mention the 60,000 USD he gave to Christian missions! What else have they done?
 
I honestly think if I had to, I could go through the rest of my days with nothing but Buck products and can't think of a single common cutting chore thye couldn't handle.

:eek: ...Mav is right fedaykincmndr...There's a wealth of info in what Daves writes...Might take ya a while to sift through it at first though...and it does stop hurtin' after a while and then you will wonder why new folks can't understand him...He's one of the main guys here..You can ask him almost anything and get an answer...:D

well i will answer but i do make mistakes and if i do dont worry some one will jump in with correct info here.
while this is not the cove
the buck nuts here are more forgiveing then most the other forums are on any thing zanty or admuseing
they talk of you have to have a dave decoder ring which normanly comes with a gold membership [jokeing]
my typeing reflects how a acent would look typed as it sounds and i tend to look at things in some what of a difftent angle...
these guys here are polite and have come to some what enjoy the zanty things i say ....so dont worry it is not you ....
