welcome to the RC addiction Walkindude!! wait till you try out an RC-3, never thought I'd EDC a fixed blade till I got one!

Welcome to la familia bro. Beat the crap out of that knife. It will love you for it.

Walkindude,

Thanks for being on our forum and thanks for the kind words about our product. You guys may not believe this but our individual customers mean everything to us. Sometimes we get too busy to answer every post here, or elaborate too much in an email to a customer, but rest assured that everyone is important to us. RAT Cutlery is not just a knife company...it's truly a family in our eyes. If it ever gets too big that it loses that family atmosphere or absolute customer service then we'll shut it down and go do something different. Sure, we want to make money and be profitable, but the number one rule to us is making a great product that customers can rely on, and then backing it up with customer service.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hell, if anyone responds to their individual customers, it's you guys. Very few othe companies are this responsive. Himalayan Imports being one <hint, hint>.

The way I look at this whole industry is there are good knives from just about every manufacturer. What we're doing is not anything exceptional when it comes to design or new ideas and I will personally carry another manufacturer's knife with just as much confidence as I carry our own. In fact we're going to the jungle in July with new knives from 4 different manufacturers and I will be writing a piece for Tactical Knives magazine on these knives. I already know they will do well since I have relied on these manufacturer's in the past. I think anyone who builds a good product deserves kudos in this industry.

I guess the main area that RC does excel in is customer service, warranty and responsiveness to our customer base. And the reason for that is Mike and I both were knife users (hard users) long before we were designers or manufacturers. We know what it's like to buy a piece of gear and watch it fail miserably in the middle of nowhere then not get a response from the company when we contact them about it. The way we feel about it (and this is the reason we do so much LEO business) is our stuff has to perform, and if something happens that it doesn't perform then we owe it to the whole customer base to let them know what happened, why it happened, and what we are doing about it. Some companies feel that one customer getting pissed off or having a problem is not that important. We feel differently because we have been THAT one customer.

Welcome to the RAT cult Walkindude :). I have the PE RC-3 with the RC-4 SE, Izula, and SERE 5 on the list to get now .

Welcome aboard Walkindude. I feel naked in the morning if I try to walk out the door without my PE RC-3. My PE RC-4 is just begging for more action. Now I had a privacy fence put around the back yard and can start those projects without the neighbors thinking /worrying about what I am doing with a fixed blade.
