I've been considering one the new waved 8's. Anyone have one? What do you think of it?
Thanks, Ditch

I just got mine, had to wait a little longer than some as I wanted the silver coated blade.

I think it is the best shape for every use Emerson makes.

We all know that a design that excels at one thing probably compromises something else. I love my green handled P-SARK and believe that every blade shape has it's place. With that said, I carried the Commander more than anything else but really liked the SOCFK and found it's blade shape to be about the most functional for what I generally do with a folding pocket knife on a day-to day basis.

Well, the CQC-8 relegated them to the drawer. Sure I'll carry them once in a while but the new waved-8 is the $h*t !!!

Amen to that! The CQC8 ROCKS.... I have carried a 99 Commander daily for 5yrs+ and since I got my 8.... Well, needless to say, my Commander is having a nice rest... I'm sure I'll carry it again, but for now, the 8 is my EDC... great handles and great blade shape.... It just flows perfectly....

I recommend you get one, you won't be dissappointed!

If you do, let us know what you think!

my '8s arent waved (spec war zero bevel and a surefire/EKI) but they are my fav EKI knives, and the specwar '8 is my fav custom except for the CQC6, great knife imho, fits the hand well, the wave is a plus but isnt that critical to me, imho all of ernies customs should be waved but many arent, 4 yrs ago when i got my specwar '8 IIRC not many if any were, is a plus though.

i just ordered one. considering the severe backlog of some models, best grab one while ya can!

I was actually thinking of getting the CQC8 or the Commander after I get another Karambit. The 8 looks more like it would excell at reverse grip, so most likely I'll get that

My CQC-8 Waved just arrived - and I am very impressed. Sharp and very ergonomic. The liner lock up is very good as well (maybe I got lucky!)

The fit of the G10 scales was off - but I fixed that with 20 minutes worth of sanding. Still a very impressive knife tho.
