Couldn`t fight the slippie itch any longer. Had them 30 years ago as a kid, more recently had some traditional designed pocket lock backs, (so I was headed in the right direction, lol), but mostly carried a tacticool something or another.

After selling some tacticals, I finally choose this little Amber Bone Punkin Jack from Cripple Creek as my 1st slippie "again". It now rides nicely in my pocket and all just seems right. :D

Not quite sure what pattern it is? It just says Jack on it. Maybe a barlow jack? Its 3" closed, 420 steel, made by GEC.

The Case Chestnut SBJ (pictured below) is my 2nd, and I fear not my last. I received this one in a trade and it had some light rust on both blades. I tried some WD40, but to no avail. So I used an old magic eraser I had on the blades, then polished everything up again. Now the CV blades should age nicely with a coat of oil every now and again.

That cripple creek is nice and i love the SBJ. Great knives there buddy. Have fun with em.

That cripple creek is sweeet. I like the buffalo too. Where did you find that thing? Way to get back into the saddle.

Congrats on the new knives, I EDC mostly tactical but I,m a traditional guy at heart with about 70 trad. folders and growing as we speak, got a new #73 GEC Northfield scout with sambar stag inbound.

70 slippies, very nice collection. I think I have 70 on my "to buy list", lol. Enjoy that GEC Scout in route. Sounds like a beaut. Are those the larger ones?

Nice knives & glad you returned to the world of slippies, but that SBJ, where have I seen that before...?

Excellent pix thanks:thumbup:

Swayback cleaned up well, time to get some patina on it perhaps?

The Cripple Creek looks very well made, very similar to GEC's No.25 pattern actually.

There are also Queen patterns coming out now.

OMHeavens! That barlow is gorgeous!

I've seen a couple patterns now of the new cripple creeks... I am really tempted to write to GEC and see if I can get them to do the 'blood brothers' trapper/barlow sets... :D
